It means living in a way that is guided by Jesus' values, which include showing love, mercy, and grace to others, even to those who are different from us or don't necessarily like us. In short, being a Christian means following the example set by Jesus and striving to live a life that reflects his teachings.
Being a Christian comes with a price that includes your plans, your preferences and your comfort...but the rewards are immeasurable!!
Deals with the origin and nature of the Holy Scriptures. How did we get them? Are they reliable? Are they the word of God? The Bible tells us where we came from, where we are now and where we are going.
Deals with the first person of the Trinity. Who is He? What is He like? What is our relationship with Him? God cannot be proven or disproven, therefore we must follow the evidence that demonstrates His existence.
Deals with Jesus of Nazareth, the second person of the Trinity. Was He a man? Was He God? Is He alive today? Is He coming to the earth again? Either Jesus was a lunatic, or He is exactly who He said He is, the Lamb of God.
The third person of the Trinity. Is He a personal being or a religious equivalent of "school spirit"? Humans have shortcomings and weaknesses which is why we need help, that is the primary role of The Holy Spirit.
Investigates the reality of the spirit world. What about guardian angels? What about demon possession and Satan worship? Not usually perceived by our five senses angels and demons are not subject to scientific scrutiny, nevertheless they are found throughout the Bible.
Investigates the origin, nature, and destiny of humanity. Were humans created or did we evolve? Do we have souls? Does the soul live forever? Someone once speculated that if we were to see our glorified selves, we would be tempted to worship ourselves. Such is the future of humanity in Christ.
Deals with the nature of mankind's offense against God. All sins are boomerangs; they comeback to hurt us every time. Sin separates us from God, if we want a life of fellowship with Him, it means accepting the challenge of growing in righteousness.
Deals with the afterlife, heaven, hell and whether or not it is safe to die. In other religions one must earn approval. The notion of God's love coming to us free of charge, no strings attached is against every instinct of humanity. Only Christianity dares to make God's love unconditional.
A body of organized believers. Investigates what the church is in the eyes of God and what its responsibilities are. While the church has not always represented itself admirably, the problem has been the execution, not the institution. The church exists only to draw men into Christ.
Looks into biblical prophecy and what the Bible says about future events, the end of the world, and eternity. The Bible presents a picture of a future for Christians that includes power, glory, wealth and honor being ours however, we must wait until we get to heaven to experience it.

Early in His ministry Jesus gave one of His most famous sermons ("Sermon on the mount" Matthew 5, 6 & 7). During that sermon He introduced eight statements of blessing, instruction and promise for those who exhibit Kingdom living, these statements are known as the Beatitudes.
